The legal status of psychedelic compounds in the United States differs by compound, state and county. Given the patchwork of laws, it can be intimidating for someone who is seeking relief to navigate the legal and practical hurdles. We provide the information here as a starting point and strongly encourage you to review the laws and make your own determination before proceeding. In some cases it is illegal to possess any amount. In some cases certain threshold amounts are restricted and can be used as evidence to support intent to distribute.

Purchase in a legal city / state

Some US states and cities have started to open pathways for individuals to purchase psychedelics. In California, multiple cities have passes Lowest Law Enforcement Priority (LLEP) laws that prevent local police from using resources to investigate or enforce laws related to psychedelic plant medicine. LLEP doesn’t change federal drug laws, but some organizations choose to operate in this legal gray area. Many of these organizations require you become a member of a church before you can obtain any medicine - this process differs by organization.
